"We live in a society" is a leftist meme to disregard correct talking points, but it is correct. It's not just ONE thing that's caused an increased rise of incels, you should know that.

-- The slow acceptance of degeneracy/hedonism. "Oh, just let them do what they want, they're not harming anyone."

-- The demonization of male masculinity in favor of feminity and/or the blurring of the roles between the sexes.

-- The continue societal pressure to push for more favoritism towards women and ethnic minorities to compensate for something that happened half a century ago or more.

-- The huge risk of a marriage financially ruining you if there's a divorce and the court systems almost always favoring the mother.

-- The normalization of 'single motherhood' like as it is some sort of virtue and the trivialization of how essential the role of a father is towards raising well adjusted children.

-- The normalization of divorce instead of the societal pressure on couples to stay together and work on the issues with their relationships.

-- The secularization of our society - lack of spirituality, whether it's towards a god or multiple gods gives people less reason to live out a virtuous life.

-- The monetization of sex/social interaction - stuff like OnlyFans is a perfect description of it - as a video I watched by Glink put it. You could even say unfettered capitalism is actually the cause because of how "valuable" of a "good" (as in commodity, not a good thing of course) OnlyFans is. That's a philosophical discussion we can have later but capitalism itself is a double edged sword that makes this commodification of sex even easier.

I could go on and on, but it's a combination of leftist post-modernist dogma + gynocentrism + technology + a bunch of other things. I was like you - I refused to believe this stuff at the start of GG as well - I thought most of it is just due to individuals just being nutjobs and this being unfortunate events, but considering there has been fewer babies, fewer marriages, more divorces, and less "happiness" among millennials and younger generation folks, I've come to realize there is no easy one thing you can fix to stop this.

And what's worse? Both men AND women are saying they feel worse off, even before COVID, so what the fuck is going on here?

We can improve ourselves, yes, but it is clear there are outside forces that are trying to interfere, heck, destroy that ability. Some of us have "awakened" to it but there's too few of us and too many of them.
