The three futures available to humans 200 years from now are extinction via Rat Utopia, a desolate desert of nothingness as progressively more things are found to be racist and thus destroyed until "buildings" are found to be offensive in some way, or a post-apoc wasteland with fabled "old technology" lying in the ruins with the downfall too swift to properly destroy all the history and impact we've hand on the land.

Death, communism, or Mad Max. Alas, "a pretty decent future" really isn't in the cards unless something DRASTICALLY changes.
