Ignoring them helps them. You must be actively and openly opposed to everything they do, otherwise you're not stopping them, just slowing them down.
This is what our side gets wrong. When they accuse you of sexism, bring up "The Future is Female". When they talk about rape culture, bring up female teachers. When they talk about patriarchy, bring up in-group bias. When they talk about oppression, bring up their plans for us when they have power.
If you have power and reach, you should be actively bringing their most uncomfortable history to the fore. You should be weaponizing intersectionalism against them by bringing up the historical alliance between Klan members and feminism.
You must be on the attack at all times or you will not win. Offense isn't just the best defense, it's the only defense.

"It's just a fringe lunatic" - 1970- 1979
"It's just equality" 1980 - 1999
"It's just academia" 2000 - 2015
"You're insane if you think they'll actually kill us" 2016 - present

Women have exactly as much power as men give to them.
I mean, if we ignored them properly the first time instead of letting them vote none of that would have mattered.
Clearly the lesson here is how one bad decision fractures down into many bad situations.
