Eve didn't doom humanity. Adam and Eve did it together--jointly. Adam lied to God and tried to hide what he had done, and he knew it was the fruit of the tree of good and evil when he tried it. Don't give that guy a pass, he was just much to blame as Eve.
If we look at that story, you could probably say Adam's even worse than Eve was. She told the serpent they could eat from everything but that one tree but the serpent lied to her. Adam doesn't even do anything, no "hey we aren't supposed to eat that." No refusing, he just takes the fruit without question and eats it.
But honestly, arguing which one was worse is stupid (but hey, perfectly fine if you want to say why women or men are icky and gross I guess) because both Adam and Eve made the conscious choice to eat the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. Eve didn't force Adam to eat it, the serpent didn't force Eve to eat it.
