Did you miss the other concerning bit:
What is a "MILITARY-STYLE WEAPONS" and how does it differ from a normal one?
Not American, so I don't know if that's an established category, just rings a little familiar to an "Assault weapon" that's then creatively redefined to include anything other than matchlock muskets...
You're not far off. Examples of what would be:
Not the full list just some examples I made up, but it's it's pretty broadly defined.
Their definition of "Military style weapon" and "assault weapon" is any gun that looks scary regardless of any actual function of the gun. Just look at their obsession with banning pistol grips, which are, generally speaking, an entirely ergonomic feature.
And this isn't the first time an aUsSaUlT wEaPoN ban has come up. Most notably the ban passed by old Billy boy back in 1994, lasted for ten years, and did jack shit all to curb gun crime. There have been several tries to reinstate the since 2004 but they have all failed.
feeeeeel the Ergo bois
(Ive been playing a lot of Tarkov lately)
It doesn’t. Just bs terms made up by politicians to define something they are scared of
If it's anything like the other bills, a "military-style weapon" is, with a few exceptions, any semi-automatic centerfire rifle. So almost every rifle outside of bolt-actions, 22s, and your occasional muzzleloader. Depending on interpretation, many pistols and some shotguns would even be considered "military-style" as well, due to magazine capacity.
You're also looking at massive "taxes" when registering said guns and magazines for the totally benign registry.
I'm just glad I lost all my guns in a boating accident.
Won't people think of the risks of boating?!
We need common sense boat reform!
