How much of this attitude can be directly attributed to the destruction of the family, including rampant divorce, single motherhood, delayed marriage and childbirth, spinsterhood, etc.? If a woman has no men in her life, or only pump-and-dumpers and unwanted spawn, she's not very likely to value what happens to men as a whole.
