I'd be thrilled to see more apolitical content come to this alt tech. Not that there's much content left that's truly apolitical, but I'd even take content that is mostly apolitical.
Otherwise, if all the big tech failed to exist tomorrow, I think about the only effect on me was Windows and Android would cease to exist, and I'd survive anyway.
Exactly. I'm waiting for good LPers and gaming channels to move over to bitchute.
Be the change you wanna see my dude
One big problem with BitChute is visual quality; I believe max is still 480p or something. I've streamed occasionally - haven't done it much recently, unfortunately - and have my YT autoupload to BitChute (when it fucking works - pls fix BitChute!), and the quality is absolutely awful. BitChute works for things where it's mostly audio, or the visuals don't otherwise matter too much, but it's not great for gaming at the moment. Odysee (LBRY) seems much more promising, actually, for gaming content.
That said, I do get more views on BitChute than YT, despite not really pushing it, and the quality being awful. So there are certainly advantages to the smaller site, as opposed to big ol' YT, but the viewer experience and technical aspects are still nowhere near up to snuff on BitChute.
But, I agree, I'd love to see more non-political stuff on the alt-tech sites in general.
480p? That's essentially the resolution Total War channels had as they got started back in the day. And make no mistake, those were the glory days.
I'm not saying it's impossible, just that the BitChute platform isn't currently conducive to gaming content. After all, just because you could upload your content in 480p, why would you, if other platforms support full 1080p, and even much beyond?
Yeah, some people will still certainly enjoy the 480p content, and that's totally fine...but higher resolution will, almost always, be a more enjoyable experience.
Same - same for Parler as well. I want artists and shit to start posting on there like it was Twitter and people stick to just normie conversations alongside the political conversations.
