I remember the 2000-2003 or so blogosphere, where the right owned all conversation on the internet.
Then tech platforms started to spring up, and started sucking everyone in due to how easy (and free) it was to use. Blogspot was the start, but social media was the real killer. That and blogger burn out.
Reminder that lefty Amanda Marcotte was hired by the Edwards campaign as Chief Blogger in 2008.
For the right, we have essentially been thrown back to those days. All the easy, ready made web services are going to be denied to us. To get your voice heard, you are going to have to stand up your own web site, using DNS providers and web space hosts that are resistant to social pressure. Monetizing it is going to be difficult, and so will earning a living doing so.
