I always thought the Executive Transvestite stuff was just a shtick. It's probably the same with this stupid pronoun stuff. Look - i wear women's clothes and now I wear women's pronouns! I'm sooooo feminine! But I like hetero sex!
Pity - I really liked his stand up though "Scrappy Doo... A magnum... BLAM"
Think the transvestite stuff might have been slightly 'edgy' for the average viewer back then; I don't know, was too young when he became a known name, only discovering him sometime in the last ~10 years.
Pronouns, however, is definitely 'vanilla' today, so if it's meant to be attention grabbing then it's way too boring to be effective.
Dressed to Kill or Circle was the 1st time I saw him (on video, of course). Very funny stuff. Later years material with pro-evolution was so-so.
I guess this shouldn't be that surprising considering his foray away from executive transvestite into career politician.
Edit: Career politician isn't quite correct, since he did return to acting.

He probably got accused of being a TERF. It isn't an option to be a man in a dress anymore, ironically.
