I can't figure this move out. Is it a publicity stunt? I ask because I went to look up the devs and the game for the very reason I'd give extra credit to a game that I might not like for actually standing up to things.
So, then I see this woman looks like a totally insane feminist and even retweeted Illan Omar of all people. So uhh...
There's always factions and splits even in political extremes, there's subsets on the far left that hate China for what they're doing to the Uyghurs, some that truly believe the Russian collusion investigation was a deliberate misdirection of the deep state, and hardcore Bernie supporters that are even more fervent that the election was stolen by the same establishment party that already rigged two primaries.
Bad hair choices is probably one of the few things the majority of the far left can all agree on.
Another notable faction is the gendercriticals and the closely connected femcel community, who hate the regressive left for the gender theory crap yet are still sexist towards men.
Among the dissident right and libertarian left, we have pro-loli and anti-loli factions who tend to argue a lot about the legal status of pornographic artwork.
"My sales are shit and Epic doesn't want to pay me to put it on their store. My politics are repulsive and anyone who looks me up will see that...I know, I'll virtue signal opposition to the CCP and hope that people won't check that I'm a vile female supremacist who deserves bankruptcy more than EA."
As much as I want to give the dev cheers for standing on principles, I really have to wonder if this isn't a combination virtue signal merged with an attempt to signal boost their Tony Hawk clone. It's trendy right now to bash on CDPR and their affiliate companies because of Cyberpunk. Would any of us have heard of this game if the dev hadn't kicked up a fuss, resulting it subsequently being talked about both here and over on halfKIA?

Female?
That would be the most obvious reason for a feminist to do...anything.

No, it really isn't.
Think about what a feminist being the leader of an organic anti-CCP movement would create.
SJW vs socialist I guess.
A better way to say it would be "Regressive Left vs Classical Communist"
