I call BS. Most people in the world don't think in terms of skin color at all. Same for most whites. That's a mostly American pathology. Most conflicts are between people of the very same skin color. Culture is king.
Even in your country. Latinos in California voted against that horrible Proposition 16 which would have allowed racial discrimination in their favor.
That's why he used the phrase "non-white ethnicity" instead of skin color. Though it happens with white ethnicities plenty too. Ethnicity is best defined by cultural circles.
Most people in the world for sure think of skin color, it was just irrelevant until recently to even give it a second thought because of how color homogeneous they were. The Japs didn't need an opinion on black people beyond a novelty, but they for sure had strong opinions on Koreans. Before Katrina, Louisiana mostly didn't have opinions on Mexicans and Immigration because there weren't any (until they were imported to rebuild New Orleans), but we certainly had strong opinions on Indians and Blacks.
People with high metabolisms never need to count calories or carbs. But if age takes that metabolism away, they will become mindful of it then.
