When you’re breaking the law, ignoring court orders, counting ballots in secret & threatening to steal the presidency, it’s not “PA’s business.” It’s America’s business, and we have the right to expect votes will be counted (1) fairly, (2) w/ transparency & (3) NOT in secret.

What is arguably more alarming is that Trump’s efforts to undermine people’s faith in the election are being echoed by GOP leaders in Congress, longtime politicians who know the president is being dishonest. They simply care more about not upsetting Trump’s base of supporters for their own political purposes.

Chaotic debates and a ugly campaign had already marred the standing of the US democratic system overseas this year, but the sight of the American leader openly seeking to delegitimize the vote was still a shock for many. Trump's comments were greeted with horror in many countries, and some glee in others, where critics of the US have long accused Washington of hypocrisy regarding democratic rights.
It's telling that they're so horrified Trump is taking the proper course of action if impropriety is expected. If everything they're doing is legal they shouldn't be afraid of going to the court and bringing everything to light. In fact, that would be better for them because it would expose Trump and prove him to be all the things they say. If Biden actually won, proving it in court would be the best way to instill faith in the system.
