There's a modicum of basic human decency I afford everyone. Beyond that, respect or derision based on their behavior.
This behavior merits mockery and derision. A person who shouts "I am king" is no king. A person who shouts "Respect me!" deserves no respect, especially when they have done nothing worthy of respect.
My response to trans & gay pride is simple: "Pride is a sin." Try being a good person outside of your sexual expression, and I'll consider respecting you.
This behavior is derision. You can hear it in the tone and see it in the malicious smile. She's talking to the viewer like an ignorant child who annoys her, while claiming that the viewer needs to 'talk to her like a normal human being'. Something she won't be affording you.
The first third of this speech is: "You will respect me. You must respect me. I'm telling you to respect me..."
The second third of this speech lies in non-verbal ques: "... or else something might happen to you. Something that you won't like, but something that I will :) ..."
The third portion of this speech lies unstated but clearly implied by the tone: "... and I do not now, nor will I ever, respect you."
Yeah, absolutely agreed. I have a baseline for "respect", which is basically "I won't spit on you if I see you on the street, and I'll help you if I see you in a car wreck". Anything else is earned, and all this person has earned is my contempt.
