I don't have any idea what these crazy people will do. Part of me thinks they won't go away until they've been put down, but the other part thinks the second they are shown any force they run and cower in the corner. In the end it's probably somewhere in the middle.
At the moment I've just kerbed any plans I had to visit a US city next year except where I live. I used to like to travel, but I've lost all interest in US cities, hoping I can do central Europe or Japan next year, we will see.
And that's assuming we won't still be in lockdown next year. They're ramping up the fear porn at the moment and it's only a matter of time until we're going to get a second lockdown. Already started in some places.
I was thinking more like Warsaw and Prague, I was actually supposed to go to those places this year so still want to eventually. Yeah, they have their own problems right now too outside of the virus even. I'll go further East if I need to, although iffy on Ukraine and Belarus. Yeah, I'm a really weird traveler and I've been asked if I'm lost several times before because of where I end up. I don't stick to cities that much, prefer to explore. I've really avoided places from Germany and further West of the continent because of exactly what you linked.
But yeah, in reality don't have much hope for travel next year. I'll do a little road trip within the states to get me out but am really just expecting a year of being around the house. It's all good I can save some extra money or something.
Yea, I guess East of Germany should be fine as long as it's in the EU (because those are more stable economically and security-wise). Although no idea what their lockdown situation is.
I know Czech Republic is total lockdown already. We will see how long that lasts. It doesn't matter for me now as I believe entry from the US to the EU blocked anyway. We will see how it is in March or so, but yeah I have little hope for 2021 working out in that respect.
