He does buy the narrative. He apologized hard and provided proof he's been donating to BLM. His excuse is that the joke was him keeping it in people's mind. He's legitimately autistic.

What got him in trouble was when twitch thot Bunny Ayu released DMs, which was shortly after the Floyd joke. In the DMs Mike spills spaghetti, is blunt, and proves he doesn't know how to talk to girls. But he doesn't say anything wrong, he just acts autistic.

This was the 2nd time Mike put Skullgirls in a negative light in a short period of time during the period where it looked like the game was finally catching a break (being featured in Evo for the first time). That's when he was cancelled by the community.

Nuance doesn't matter, he just had become a PR liability for being autistic. And now they want him gone forever. The guy who is responsible for the gameplay and the entire engine. Who nearly singlehandely has been balancing and fixing bugs since 2012.
