That's very true. I think a few modern films and series have salvageable parts, but a lot of time (unfortunately) Holywood and Netflix know what they're doing - at least when it comes to making subtly woke content. The good news is they're still clueless when it comes to making entertaining stuff.

It’s like people saying the 1990s weren’t woke. Yes they were it just got you subconsciously, programming and conditioning you and you didn’t even notice.

That's a really good point and should be brought up more. I've noticed pseudo-woke themes in films made as long as 50 years ago, and some older.

I guess the positive spin on that is that the wokes have been trying for a looong time to win, since the French Revolution or even earlier, but they keep running up against human nature and the desire for freedom.

Regime conservatives, to borrow a phrase.

Good phrase. I think you're right on point about this mindset.

Not going to lie, I don't know why so many people are getting torn up about schools closing, considering what they're teaching in public schools nowadays.

To be fair, I don't have kids... but if I did, homeschool, private school, co-schooling groups with multiple families, anything other than public school.

This is a great rule of thumb to follow. There are also some good lists of movies with no woke content out there on the web.

We should be upholding the good examples as much as we highlight the bad ones

Not a good sign. I thought they were just adding new characters, didn't know they had deliberately sex-switched anyone.

You know what would be cool though? If people took modern series and edited out the woke bits. So instead of a full Foundation series, you'd basically have a short movie. You could enjoy the special effects but with no woke or boring parts. If life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
