Think you are missing the cult of science. "Believe the science." They have offloaded this entire discussion to experts. Because the science and the experts recommend affirming care, it cannot be harmful. They will avoid any knowledge counter to this belief and ignore facts counter to this belief.
This is similar to the vax cult. You are not allowed to suggest that they are in anyway unsafe.
