American cigarettes are the worst. Except maybe Russian ones, but I've only heard stories about those.
I import mine. Clove cigarettes, great 20 minute painkiller, increased potency if you reduce oxygen intake. When my family visits and wants a smoke break, I tell them they have to smoke the good stuff.
I heard of russian cigarettes exactly once, years ago. Was told the smoke smelled like lucky charms. Regardless of the seemingly tall tale, I'd be excited to one from there. Hard enough to get a shipment from India; I wouldn't know how to get it from Russia.
The most exotic I ever had was from Nicaragua - brand was called Queen Elizabeth, and they were stronger than the strongest ones we have (John Player's Specials, in a black pack, for to match your lungs.) That was decades ago.
I tried a pack of those herbal cigarettes on one of my previous attempts to quit - Magic, they were called. Sure enough, after one puff, the mere thought of a smoke made me feel ill for six months (I was going for a three-month bet.) Dunno what's in those, but damn, they were horrible.
Otherwise, I haven't touched nicotine in two years (or alcohol, either), and just smoke (well, "vape", I guess, these cartridges are much nicer than mucking around the old-fashioned way) cannabis extracts now. :P Went through a medical thing, so I have to settle for that and caffeine. Husband still smokes though. No, I don't make him do it outside, because I wouldn't put up with that shit myself, and anyway, all shit like that would do is expose my own weakness. Go on, tempt me. I'm done.
