There's an argument to be made that pedofiles should be able to get help without fearing having their lives destroyed. The thought isn't a crime and if there are ways that can prevent these people from acting on their urges it would make sense to give them the chance.

There's also an argument to be made that everyone that encourages pedofiles or even hints that these urges are anything but horrible and that acting on them wouldn't be one of the worst things they could possibly do should be registered for daily beatings or worse.
