He does not need to be strong or even coherent, the media and holywood and almost anyone with fans is going to make sure to paint Joe as great and Trump as evil, stupid, racist and what not. Overall I was very disappointed in the debate, neither of them did particularly good but Trump wasted a great moment to clear up how radical Joe is and what manipulative bastards Democrats are.

After all this time I am still angry on how the media manipulates without any repercussions.
