The Xbox is due out a week after the US election, and seeing as we're unlikely to find out the result till days later (due to mail in voting, ect) this could well put the launch directly in the middle of a post-result riot. Will the Xbox (and heck, maybe even PS5) launch get pushed back under these circumstances, especially with how US-centric both companies are now?

Many places are still locked down. They could be playing games. As long as the riots don't start burning down Amazon warehouses(please start going after the capitalists you claim to hate), they have zero additional risk and a lot to gain.
I think they had actually gone after companies that did cater to them.
Doubt it but you can probably find a good deal on Facebook Marketplace in riot cities for the new consoles
