anyone else find this infuriating? every time someone points out the hypocrisy about how authorities handle COVID-19, they make sure to perpetuate the narrative that this is some terrible plague that could doom us all.
are these people even self-aware? this narrative is exactly why authorities are able to get away with this tyranny!
What bothers me most is the blatant disregard for science, even as they continually scream at people to "check the science."
Anti-body tests, high-risk groups, dying from as opposed to of, useful treatments, the downward trend, the use of masks improperly leading to it being worse, the mutation of it weakening, etc. all showing that it's something we can manage if done properly. We can properly care for those at highest risk without condemning everyone to draconian rules that very little in the way of mitigation.
Plus the constant narrative of the US being the worst country by misrepresenting the numbers in pernicious ways and pretending China didn't completely cover it up; or India simply not testing or reporting cases properly.
Our media is willing to promulgate misinformation to push their political agenda and it leaves the average ignorant idiot with a load of useless, or false, information.
People in America are surveyed as believing the number of deaths, and how serious it is overall, is astronomically higher than reality. Which goes to show how effective much of their propaganda surrounding it has been.
It's also pretty frightening how quickly they believe what they want.

Also, considering their relatively low number of infections and way way lower deaths, what constitutes a "surge" for them? 10 more cases? 50?
