Everyone who visits KIA2 is well aware of Peggy McIntosh and her garbage essay, so quit with the "right wing dum-dums" snark. I'm pretty sure a hefty chunk of this community leans left, but is sick of woke left's lunacy.
White privilege isn't about class (though it might be seen as related).
Yes, we know. White privilege is unfalsifiable dogma, and a tool of the elite to sow discord and division among the working masses.
What white privilege is about, is that if you compare a poor white person with a poor black person, poor white person would be treated better or have various "privileges" because of their race.
Again, the vapidity of McIntoshes essay shines through your reply. Vague claims of benefits, which are simultaneously invisible, but obvious to anyone who buys into the concept. You know what else grants significant privileges? Money. Moolah. The thing woke industrial complex has oodles of and yet refuses to part unless it's used to fund terrorist groups.
Such as not being targeted by police, being more likely to be hired, etc.
Not being a criminal can also significantly decrease negative interaction with the police. Employees tend to favor people who are self reliant and hard working, but I was informed by the Smithsonian that those are white values. Damn that white privilege, always keeping the black man down by promoting behaviour that is likely to create succsessful individuals.
The reason 'white privilege" is seen to exist is because of white supremacy being a thing, which advantages whites & exploits and oppresses non-whites.
Again, more vague claims, in the spirit of the original essay.
Every time I press the woke on defining what white supremacy means, they tend to rattle off a bunch of various claims that are tangentially related to each other - everything but the actual definition. The closest definition I've gotten is from their opponents - that it's dogma used by the woke left to destabilize society and seize power.
A better approach might be challenging the idea of equality and expectation of equal outcomes between different groups, but I doubt it'd work
The idea is that the equality of opportunity, not of outcomes should matter. Equality of outcomes means society where everyone is dragged down to the base level of (in)competency, and even a brief glance at 20th century totalitarian regimes shows what hell holes these types of societies tend to be.
Equality of outcomes between different groups? What sort of values these various groups hold? I'd say that the group that believes that hard work, rational thinking, and stable family structures has the highest chance of prospering, due to the obvious fact that self reliance and hard work tend to result in success. Now, tell me, are these values unique to a certain ethnicity? Be careful, your reply might uncover some less than savory beliefs.
I see that you've stepped out of the lefty bubble, which is commendable, but the woke missionary schtick isn't working. Drop the attitude and your KIA2 experience will improve significantly.
Whoa, hold up, she's a furry? I have some close furry bros and I've been watching over the border between furry and sjw for some time. It's been amazing that sjw hasn't completely absorbed furries because of their extreme victim status. My personal theory so far is that people can't dedicate themselves to two cults at once, so anyone that's a die-hard-cringe furry is immune to other cults like social justice (and similarly, the handful of furries that feel revulsion at furry cult are more likely to feel the same about other cults).
Try to explain to her exactly how minority bipedal dogs (or catgirls, whatever) are. They're so minority they don't exist in reality. Humans are all over and common. And - get this, even in a furry setting you can make every race have only one representative; you can only show so many characters in a story, and that number is far smaller than the number of distinct real life animal species to anthropomorphize. Also drawing in a homogenized style like animal crossing diminishes diversity so she's gonna have to git gud if she wants to be less racist.
Cut the turd loose. You don't need her, and it honestly doesn't sound like you've ever liked her. Seems like she's more of a friend of a friend at most. And if that's what she is, then here's what you do: start arranging hangouts, outings, and get-togethers with the people you do like. Like eating out, going to restaurants, game nights, whatever. But don't include her in them. Don't invite her, don't talk to her about them. Start solidifying among your buddies who among them is "in" the group and who are the outliers.
