I wish they would -- for once -- clarify what exactly conservatives are doing that would make any person of "diverse background" feel they can't participate. Is that too much? I would argue that most modern conservatives are exceedingly more tolerant and accommodating of peoples differences than nearly anyone on the left.
I realize the CBC is little more than propaganda, but it's almost like they believe that if they repeat it enough that it will be true. But what's most telling about these people is their truly myopic view of "diversity" -- which, by them, is defined solely by skin color and sex.
They actually believe that all people in certain racial groups and sexual orientations unequivocally share a hivemind and are incapable of individual thoughts and beliefs. I honestly don't think there's many things more racist and bigoted than that.

Existing? Let's be honest the average progressive probably has never spoken to a moderate, let alone an actual conservative. Conservatives remain semi-mythological, absurd caricatures in their head. They literally believe that conservative = racist/sexist/homophobic/etc.
Which is so strange.
I wouldn't even consider myself conservative.
I support gay marriage for tax benefits, but don't think churches should be forced to accommodate.
I'm pro-choice, but don't feel the government should subsidize birth control or abortions. I'm also personally pro-life, but I don't care if some woman wants to carry the guilt of killing her baby. A strange stance, I'm sure.
I'm pro-legalization -- no caveat necessary. Weed should be legal and properly taxed. Medical cards should allow for tax to be exempt.
When it comes to economics is where I become much more conservative. I also strongly believe in the constitution and that this country was founded with the dream that freedom affords people the ability to do anything. Not that it was founded to spite minorities -- which is stupid.
The real thing to take away though is that I'm not stuck in this stupid 2001 Bush era "omgahd Republicans bad!" mindset that most of these idiots never grew out of.
This is what happens when someone tries to stand up to the leftist agenda of the
@CBCNews, @MaximeBernier and the @peoplespca will end the biased agenda of the CBC. @JustinTrudeau has been paying off the media with bailouts for over 4 years now.

I share your views on all of your point.
About 5-6 years ago I considered myself center-left and definitely not one of those "racist conservatives" as I was made to believe. Fuck was I dumb.

More CBC bias: CBC has over 400 articles calling Maxime Bernier far/alt right, zero calling Trudeau a criminal https://twitter.com/MFoleyPPC/status/1297340511896903680
i could never vote for someone that ugly.
