I'm seriously considering getting it at or near launch (of course I'm willing to wait at least a little bit to hear if it works, is good, etc.) but not if it's going to be obnoxious and woke. I know they were at least talking about "heterosexuality not being the default" or whatever, which definitely isn't a good sign.
What have you guys heard?
When it comes to Paradox games wait until the first DLC. It's probably going to be a broken mess at launch and the first DLC is usually what makes the game playable.
Should be a rule of thumb for all games. When the first DLC is released, most base games tend to be put on sale.
Eh, Paradox games havent been a broken mess on launch for a while now (at least since EU4). At least in terms of bugs and similar issues.
The only issue recent releases have had is that they have been dumbed down or extremely barebones on launch.
Imperator was the worst for both of the above. So dumbed down it and reliant on 'mana' that it was effectively an extremely basic map painter set in the classical/very early roman period and so barebones that it was barely playable for more than a few hours.
Thankfully Paradox seems to have learnt their lesson form that game.
