morbid curiosity. If things have got so bad (including your reputation) that you've decided to take yourself out, why would you care about optics.

Fear for your immortal soul. Or karmic retribution in the next life. Or whatever it is you believe in.

There might be a chance that God forgives you for suicide, but if you've murdered others as well you're probably first in line to Satan's dick-sucking convention
