I don't buy not JUST for the reasons mentioned but also because I heard of him around this time and he seemed the more self destructive type on substances and vices than the abusive type.

The fact these accusations have apparently been sat on for 20 years invalidates their authenticity too, if you are a victim of rape, REPORT IT IMMEDIATELY so it's at least on file at this time.

There really should just be a statute of Limitations on reporting sex crimes. If they find a guy from a crime 20 years after, then whatever. No new crimes.
