I didn't realize that Space Ghost Coast to Coast and Art Bell'sCoast to Coast AM were different things.
As in, I wasn't aware of the existence of the cartoon, but assumed people were referring to Art Bell when referring to Space Ghost. I assume Art Bell's late night radio show was in inspiration for Space Ghost from 1994, but couldn't find a mention on the Wiki.
I heard Danny Polishchuk, Ryan Long's right hand man, describe the inspiration for his own call-in show Low Value Mail as being Space Ghost and thought he was referring to Bell.
In the 90s, I had a small portable radio with a long antenna that I'd use to try to pick up AM radiowaves from Great Lakes stations under the covers.
I was mostly looking for ball games and sports talk, but would often only be able to pick up Bell in syndication.
