I'm not sure about your other claims, but regarding this:

The only one this really protects is the scumbags involved in the J6 committee and even then lawfare is completely on the table now.

I believe they can be prosecuted for contempt of Congress if they do not testify, they can no longer take the fifth. So they either have to tell the truth, or they open themselves up for prosecution.
