DOA has literally had the reputation as the "lewd, jiggly" fighting game for 2 decades. That is the actual reason why it still exists and is remembered in the slightest, to the point where more people are aware of the spinoff Volleyball game than the main series.

They don't have the plausible deniability of a game like Tekken or Soul Calibur which has characters that clearly aren't meant to be lewded and is known as a real game instead of a titty sim.
