I see Trump as a jovial and magnanimous guy. I don't mind them sharing a laugh at an event. I'd start to get suspicious if they're seen regularly golfing together or going on play dates like the Bush's and Obamas. As for Obama as much as we blamed him for running the shadow government, I don't think he's the worst of the deep staters. He was more of a Manchurian Candidate.
I would imagine a lot of people who are anti-Obama don't hate him as a person per se, but they hated him as a politician and President.
At least, that's how I feel about him. I hate his policies and what he stands for but I begrudgingly admit that he would most likely be a fun guy to grab a beer with.
You're probably right tbh. Maybe it's just residual conditioning from when I was a teenager back when he was first elected and very naive, but he's always seemed like a really charismatic and charming person, which is part of the reason he's so dangerous. Either way, he's not exactly at the top of my list of people I'd want to get a drink with.
I think Obama can be pretty fun to hang out with when he's in a good mood. By all accounts the guy is a consummate bullshitter whose favorite thing about the presidency was dinner parties with celebrities and artists.
GW was hilarious too with the gut checking. I can never personally hate the guy, even though he was a unique disaster as president. I can't believe the country "survived" 16 years of him and Obama.
That's not the ruling class. The ruling class are the guys who hire lobbying firms to write bills and tell congress how to vote on them.
I am curious, when people stridently anti-Obama or anti-Trump see a picture like this, what do they think?

Nah he'd talk down to you like you're an inbred red neck, all his "I'm just like you, the average Joe" schticks are so fake

You can tell how great a system is, and what a people are actually like, by who rules over them.
