Quite a lot of channels mentioning it along with the fact since Henry Cavill has been confirmed with Amazon to do a series, sales have gone up.
Now, GW have been known to do dumb shit, hell their plus media venture and using copyright as a bludgeon against fan work was REALLY dumb, but this whole thing played out seems like there was at least a few smart people in charge at GW.
We know GW has activists, the fact that Arch is a banned name in GW shows that, and the activists WANT female Space Marines, Amazon full of leftists wanted female Space Marines but the ones with brains at GW know that will kill their company. So they do female Custodes to SHOW the backlash, which goes on to affect the deals in talk with Amazon. I don't think it's a coincidence that we ended up with this as the recent thing Amazon made with 40k. Between that and Space Marine 2, it seems like this Custodes issue was used to silence the activists and tourists and show where the money is, and now that's been done, they're deleting it.
They allowed Terminal List to be made and that's a pretty red meat show.
So it depends on whether it's Amazon making it or publishing it, there's actually a massive difference. If they're just publishing it, sure. If they're actually involved in making it directly, no chance.
That said I doubt they will stay true to the source material very well either way, because simply put the entirety of Hollywood is too full of weird gross communists to do so.
Ultimately it will come down to who they have as the showrunner and director on it, and who the writers are. If they aren't all 40k fans it's going to be a disaster.
So just on the balance, the odds are it's going to be a disaster where they push "the message" just like literally 100% of all media made in the last several decades.
In some cases them pushing their gross degenerate message in a piece of media doesn't matter as much, but 40k is pretty much the antithesis of all of those so if they do, it will ruin it.
Terminal List was amazing.
