Korean manhwa and cinema is how I came to understand that a lot of South Koreans are way closer to going on a rampage than most people give them credit for. Probably NK too, but it's hard to say much about them from their media tastes though.
Either way don't fuck around with Koreans too much, their standard fictional tropes are basically fantasizing about enslaving people for canon fodder, caving their closest peers' heads in with rocks over money, status, or differing economic opinions, and sadistically torturing their enemies.
Imagine Taken but instead of taking Liam Neeson's daughter hostage to trigger the genocidal rampage, they scuffed his shoes. That's the kind of story that sells well in SK.
