See, I wanted to go in that direction to begin with, but I thought better of it.
But if you REALLY want me to go off on a rant...
See, no. When I call the 'woman are wonderful' effect powerful, I mean bordering on reality distortion.
But that's the thing. When it breaks, it breaks HARD. They encounter the sub-human monsters who just don't give a fuck. Brutal murder, rape, abuse - all of a sudden, a woman's entire perspective has shifted, a switch has flipped, and things have gone from 0 to a 100 really fucking quick... from a woman's perspective.
Hence, thier neuroticism. Hence, their screaming anxiety. Hence, 'I have to treat all men as rapists, you just don't know'.
Men, though. Men have had to deal with the entire sliding scale of 0 to 100, and all the steps inbetween. To recognize when things are escalating, when things aren't escalating, how to defuse shit, when to step away, and ideally to know that it's fucking go time. So we don't see things in black and white, on or off. It's why men develop such an acute asshole filter(to the point where some women are begining to remark on it). Because we live with danger to one degree or another our entire lives, even if it's just the bone-deep knowledge that no one's coming for us, no one gives a shit, we're on our own.
So, no. I don't have any sympathy for the arguement 'Well, um, ACTUALLY, woman can be raped'. Spare me. This is just more evidence of how women lead charmed lives, how they can blissfully manuver from one bad situation to the next, never giving any though to the danger because they've never had to.
Oh.
You actually went there.

Until suddenly they do.
