There are several rules I would break if I described what should happen to the people responsible for the amount of suffering forced upon America because of these policies.
It's amazing how you can dismantle people's lives if you utter the magic words, "but virus!" It was not surprising, though. This was the outcome the I FUCKING LOVE SCIENCE crowd was trained for.
It was the useful idiot supporters that really got me. I had a family member almost die because they didn't get to do their regular medical checkups (as the hospitals were absolutely cooked from these retard decisions), instead relying on 'telehealth'.
Several normal people in the intervening years have defended it (even though they also didn't like lockdowns and mandates) with shit like 'oh well it was tough for hospitals at the time'. I'm sitting here with an astounded look on my face from the level of stupid this takes to say.
We know they made shit up and just ran with it, it was their own fault, and it cost lives; but nah, apparently they're blameless according to most normies.
Maybe the disconnect is whether you blame the CDC/feds or the entire healthcare industry, including local hospitals.
It's not as clear whether industry professionals at large were forced into compliance or enthusiastic foot soldiers. Regardless, most of them failed to discharge their saintly duty of doing no harm and following the evidence instead of politics. All that glory they covered themselves with turned out to be pixie dust.
It was the entire industry, particularly the shithead managers of the 'local hospitals' (very few are not under large management corps nowadays) that are still doing shit like 'well we need everyone in the facility to be masked... for safety' that has no benefit.
I agree with you on the other point though, I just wish their pixie dust caught on fire.
