He's not. He's the reason Microsoft took over. DEI is a weapon to destroy competition and capture opposition and institutionalize central authority. His purpose has nothing to do with money, and nor does the game. Microsoft doesn't sell games. They push ideology. Neither does Obsidian. You might think, "but then they won't make any money!" It's a Socialist organization with Socialist objectives. They don't care about making money.
