The problem with the Farms is that someone makes an actually interesting post with a current Happening, a mod then features it on the front page, then everything that follows in the thread becomes useless because there's dozens of pages of low effort posts of users piping in to call the lolcow a faggot.

You can use the "Highlight" feature to only skip between the most highly rated posts, but even those tend to just be memes.
