Straight out of the commie handbook. Here in Canada grocery prices have skyrocketed because the Turd government's carbon tax has added extra costs to growing, harvesting, processing and transporting food, not to mention sending the grocery stores' power bills through the roof. That, along with the massive increase in demand because of the million+ immigrants per year we're taking in, has given us some of the most expensive food prices in the world, and all of it is the government's fault.
What did they do to combat that? They launched a public inquiry into "price fixing" by the grocery companies and spent months vilifying and demonizing them in the press.
It's not a carbon tax, exactly, but the absurd Green New Deal gave a bunch of taxpayer money to inefficient businesses. Which amounts to the same thing: taxation.
