I’m trying to think of what teams pander most to the left. Probably Kansas City would be top of the list, since one of their star players is dating Taylor Swift and so, for the duration of that sham relationship, they have a bandwagon army of AWFL fans. Not sure if there’s another team that’s overtly pandering to the left, but it would probably track with geography - Los Angeles or Seattle or whatever.
But in reality, if I had to guess, they just played as their ostensibly local teams - the Minnesota Vikings for Walz and the New York Giants or New York Jets for AOC - so that they could larp as regular humans (how do you do, fellow fans of local sports team?).
That in itself is kind of interesting, because AOC’s home borough within New York tends to be more likely to support the Giants, which dovetails nicely with the fact that she’d probably want to avoid visibly supporting the Jets, since their star player (Aaron Rodgers) is a very vocal pureblood.
