The Asari are predominantly an all female race given that despite being able to reproduce with any species including their own they can all give birth.
They even have the term matriarch but no term for patriarch as a certain Krogan in ME2 confirmed.
I really hope Vailguard kills off the corpse of Bioware and their IPs can one day go to someone who can use them better.
Liara's "father" even chews Shepard out in ME3 when he called her Liara's "father", citing it as human-centric labeling of other cultures/species. Aka, cultural appropriation of a sort.
