Don’t blame “right-wingers talking about it.” Talking about something is how you show your support for it, or promote it to others. If no one talked about anime, it might skate under the radar longer, but only as a consequence of not being as popular or successful here, which would also not be good. The simple truth is that the left cannnot accept anything that’s not ugly and awful and controlled by them, so targeting anime/manga (and Japan in general) was always inevitable no matter what.

I'd rather openly talk about stuff I enjoy and have the balls to punch them in the face when they come to try and take it from me. Then maybe posse up and go proactively burn down their cult house for retribution too if they don't take the hint.

They want you alone, destitute and eventually dead. You have to confront them eventually.
