It's extremely dumb and would have resulted in no sales in not just China, but many southeast Asian countries.

You got a French company confusing two counties that have had the biggest impact in the region, constantly insulting the Japanese then you look what they are promoting, a random ass black guy beating up and killing Asians in a historical period where races weren't really co-existing ANYWHERE as much.

Ubisoft now going down the tubes as a result of their pandering is just icing on the cake as I heard their NEXT Assassin's Creed game was referred to as Hex set during the American witch trials so you KNOW how woke that one would be.
