I read this. Three bands dropped out. It looks they dropped out because they want to remain apolitical.
Only one side is on the train of "this random celebrity appeared at an event, thereby everyone there supports them entirely" and its not the side that Rittenhouse is on.
So by making this statement, they admit to being politically Left anyway.
