...you know... the sad part is instead of making it an assassin's creed game, they could have made a new game, set it in modern times, and had a black man somehow learn the ways of the samurai from an old man, trying to keep the old ways alive. could have done all sorts of things with that, maybe even started a new ip the way capcom did when their RE:4 concept strayed too far from the rezzy series.(Devil May Cry started out as a prototype for RE4).
...But because they're marxists, they can't do that, no...they have to inject their politics into something that's already popular and call everyone who says it's shit a racist, because, let's face, it's all they have...
Afro samurai.
can't say, never saw it.
The movie Ghost Dog is similar to what you describe. Recommended.
What’s more sad is that many of us would give anything to have another REAL assassin’s creed. They haven’t made one in over a decade now. There was a huge wasted opportunity here.
But that would’ve meant giving us an historically accurate MALE Japanese protag, that would mean the story would need actual talented writers instead of grifter political activists. It would only be possible in an industry that actually listens to its audience instead of constantly telling its audience to fuck off. Could you imagine any other industry being so unimaginably narcissistic and spiteful to its customer. “Hi, welcome to Costco now fuck off!!”
