Russia charges soldiers over torture, murder of Texan Russell Bentley

A Texan soldier fighting for Russia was killed in the spring, and Russia has said four Russian service members are to blame.

The comments are quite lovely. Why did the Russian soldiers kill him? The article didn't provide a jint of the motive, and the comments were all calling him a traitor

Even though he's fighting against Ukraine, many Russians are so radicalized against the West that he likely was not trusted or viewed in a good light. Some Russians probably just didn't like him and killed him.
