Even flesh-and-blood streamers are playing a character to some degree. From a slightly exaggerated version of themselves to someone like Dr. Disrespect. Hiding behind a jpg, model, or a mullet and shades are just different degrees of the same thing.
I get the impression there might be a heavy overlap with the DnD and MMO RPing groups too. Bunch of theater kids, basically.
