Genuinely excited for what this could bring. The Decomp for OoT has already ended up with a lot of wild and fun things.
At the rate this is going we will finally have Bloodborne for PC by the time PS4s are junk consoles cheaper than the PC hardware it'll need to run. Still I look forward to being able to play it at 60fps without the slowdowns, as long as Chalice dungeons have their coop capability enabled.
Also solid 75% chance Sony will just port it to PC once this gets close to finalizing. I assume that's a nestegg they are saving for an emergency situation as its both the most requested Exclusive they have and the one guaranteed to sell a shit ton.
The decomp software is actually impressive these days. There is a way to do this for most N64 games. This means a lot of those games are getting upgrades real soon.
I agree, Bloodborne for the PC will likely mean the death of PlayStation as a console. Unless they make something else, a better Bloodborne on PC means no need to care anymore.
I do wonder if there's a weird deal that Nintendo can't get Symphony of the Night, because it's one of the few games left for Konami to release to it.
I don't think Bloodborne is going to be the full death spell for Playstation, but it will finally be the last "big" game keeping the PS4 alive. It'll still have constant AAA normie games like CoD and Sports titles, and 3rd party niche game, but rare will there be an "exclusive" with that much pull.
Alternatively, with the PS5 already acknowledged as in its end cycle, they might just be saving Bloodborne Remastered for the PS6 release like they did Demon Souls.
Also with Konami releasing literally every game they seem to own from MGS to Castlevania, the lack of SotN (one of their hugest titles) indicates a very clear deal somewhere holding it down.
This statement is both true and not the first time I've seen it, but it never ceases to be mind blowing.
What a damnable system. Commiefornia Sony cannot go bankrupt fast enough.
What's particularly pathetic about it is that over the course of its life, it had started to get enough exclusives to be worth getting next generation when it was half the price it is now.
But they panicked so hard that they ported most of them off to recoup their investment and now its just Demon's Souls, which is barely worth playing to begin with compared to later games in the series.
