America used to inspire the world, every nation wanted to emulate American exceptionalism, its culture, education, freedoms ...
Now when people think USA, think they drag queen, crossdressers, gay-pride, feminism, degeneracy, homeless people shitting in the streets, opioids, mass migration, self hatred. The "soft power" is gone. Who would want to copy that mess?
And this is why Trump inspires people, because it's a come back to what made USA great in the eye of the rest of the world. You can't have people in the white house who hates America like that guy in the OP, yet it's full of them.
They also think of black people.
I can't go much of anywhere online without being reminded of "mutts," school shootings, expensive healthcare, or fat people. The image of the USA has been attacked and tarnished for my entire lifetime, and it feels very bad to live in a place that never used to be like this, but now is only regarded as broken.
It took less than 20 years for your image of Canadians to go from hockey players and lumberjacks wearing flannel shirts to self-hating white people and Indians.
Correct. They do think of gun crime.
It's the free market that makes America great.
Our culture, education and freedoms have always been second rate. The baby boomers invented this line to justify what they did after WWII.
Right up until the beginning of WWII, our culture was mixed garbage, children were expected to work in factories, prison labor was used extensively for public works.
The reason people came here is because you didn't need permission from some bullshit king to own and operate a business.
You lost everyone on the second paragraph.
That's because most people are retarded and haven't spent any time reading history. They also can't imagine living in a country that actually cherishes individualism and had nothing to do with the dumb tribal instincts that I've apparently insulted.
Fuck 'em anyways.. probably not worth "having" in the first place.
But our culture, education and freedoms haven't always been second rate. Even now with all that's happened the protection of speech in the US surpasses 99% of that afford by the rest of the world. And probably 99.9% for the right to arm oneself. Our education sucks now, but it didn't always. If you compare pre civil rights America with its contemporaries of the time, it dominated. And that is what people are trying to get back to.
