The most important thing to know about Mormonism is that from the moment Smith died they started a schism about politics (polygamy being the big one) and have just kept casting out the less-progressive members of their church every generation.

They are extremely easily bullyable into changing their doctrine to match Leftist dogma, especially because they allow "continued Revelations" to be adopted from important members claiming to get visions from god.
