But it's interesting that they seemingly plucked Walz out of nowhere from a name recognition perspective.

I realize he's Governor of Minnesota, but I'd never heard his name politically before his selection.

I wasn't that familiar with Vance either, but at least he was a long-time candidate for VP despite his short term in office. I also remembered him from the East Palestine stuff (also completely memoryholed).
